The combination of turmeric and black pepper
The main determining factor of inflammation is our diet. We all know that some foods can support inflammation, but we also need to know that there are also foods that can reduce inflammation. We will discuss about turmeric
Benefits of turmeric.
Turmeric has long been used in various methods of traditional medicine, especially traditional Chinese and Indian medicine. The herb was later adopted by Western medicine and in 2011; a study found that the consumption of turmeric is able to encourage the production of anti-inflammatory cytokines.
Turmeric is also recommended to treat digestive disorders, such as intestinal ulcers, bowel inflammation, and even Crohn’s disease. This spice contains anti-oxidant agent and we have learned that cancer-causing free radicals fought by anti-oxidants.
Three types of turmeric root have been investigated and they were able to reduce the cancer cells of colon cancer, melanoma, and breast cancer.
Benefits of black pepper
The addition of black pepper will optimize the consumption of turmeric. Black pepper contains piperine, a substance that helps the body to absorb turmeric (bioavailability) up to 20 times. Even if used alone, black pepper can prevent oxidation in your body and also optimize the digestive process.
Benefits of tomatoes
Tomatoes contain lycopene in a high percentage. This substance is what makes tomatoes red. This substance is a powerful anti-oxidant agent that is able to minimize the risk of cancer and also reduce cholesterol levels in your body to keep blood pressure and heart conditions well.
Lycopene bioavailability is a measure that tells you how well your body can absorb lycopene. When we take in raw condition then we would have a higher bioavailability.
